Meet Maggie, also known as Boogs! This adorable girl is approx 1.5 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. Her foster mom describes her as spunky, sweet, and incredibly lovable.
Boogs spent most of her puppyhood in the shelter after being surrendered at just 4 months old. When she first arrived, she had severe nasal discharge, and the shelter couldn’t determine the cause. She was started on antibiotics, and the symptoms seemed to clear. We were later contacted because she was getting no interest and the shelter was full, so we brought her into a wonderful foster home.
About three months later, her runny nose returned. After consulting multiple veterinarians, we learned that Boogs has seasonal allergies that cause chronic nasal discharge. We want to reassure potential adopters that she is not contagious, and her condition does not stop her from playing with other dogs or enjoying life. In fact, she’s one of the happiest dogs in our rescue.
Boogs loves people and other dogs, whether she’s romping around the dog park or zooming around the living room. She is house-trained, great with kids, and friendly with everyone she meets. She will be a wonderful addition to any family.
